Pin Pendants made with vintage tin cans
These pin-pendants are
pressed and snipped from
my collection of vintage
tin cans and boxes, then
adorned with photo images
and charms. While some
of the tins date to the 20's,
most are from the 50's and
60's. They display the craft
of typography and offset
lithography and reflect the
visual spirit of those times.

Tobacco Tag Jewelry
These bits of
lithographed tin, dating
from 1880 to 1930,
went into plugs of
pressed chewing
tobacco to identify
trade brands.
They were also used
as premium coupons.
there were more than
1000 different
tobacco manufacturers.
The tags symbolized the sea,
farming, the working man,
baseball and history.
